How to Enter the STC Competition

Select a category for your entry

These are four categories:

  • The Informational Materials Category category includes all entries that are intended to inform the user of information without a specific call to action.
  • The Instructional Materials Category includes all entries that train a user/learner on a particular set of skills and knowledge.
  • The Promotional Materials Category includes all entries that are intended to market or promote a product, company, individual, or event.
  •  
  • The User Support Materials Category includes all entries that provide information needed to support the user in performing specific tasks for independent use by the audience.

Complete an entry form

To enter in the competition you must complete an entry form and submit it along with your entry. Entry forms can be submitted in paper format or mailed as a hard-copy.

Pay the competition entry fee

The entry fee will vary depending on the number of contributors are STC members status of each contributor. There is a minimum of a $70/entry for a members and $90 entry fee for non-members.

Submit your entry for the competition

  • Online materials: Entries that are in the electronic format can be sent via e-mail to the competition coordinator.
  • Paper materials:  Entries in the paper format can be submitted by mail to one of the following locations:

    All entries must be received by October 14, 2011, 5pm.
